Do missions go away when I fail & abort?

I was failing a mission a lot, so I failed the mission and aborted it. I then loaded a save at a safehouse, and when I looked for the mission, I couldn't find it. Is it still there, or have I not found it yet?

They shouldn't disappear. You pick when you do missions :P check the map and see the symbol key.
