Hi guys,
my catalyst has been crashing from beginning. First time after playing for about 30 minutes, and randomly afterwards. Now it's crashing during start all the time so i can not play anymore. :-(
My System:
OS: Win7 Home Premium
CPU: Intel i7-4790
RAM: 32 GB Kingston (16GB available on Home Premium only)
VGA: Sapphire AMD 6970
Resolution: 2560 x 1440
VGA Driver: 15.7.1 (latest official release)
16.2.1 Beta (Radeon Software Crimson Edition Beta)
Here is the error message i get:
DirectX function "device->CreateBuffer(&dxDesc, 0, &buffer->m_buffer)" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The Video Card has been physically removed from the System, or a Driver upgrade for the Video Card has occured. "). GPU: "AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series", Driver 15.8 (15.301.1901-160226a-299900E). This error is usually caused by the graphics Driver crashing, try installing the latest Drivers. also, make sure you have supported graphics Card with at least 512MB.
It's ugly that the games now crashed during starting, i wanna play that game.... :-(
Hope someone can Support me here.
Thanks
Shungo

Hey guys... I just resolved my issue. I had recently purchased a USB 3.0 Hub with Display over USB capabilities (HumanScale's MConnect.) It uses DisplayLink drivers to perform its work. Uninstalling the drivers allowed me to run the game successfully, reinstalling the current stable drivers caused the game to crash as we expeerienced.
DisplayLink made a Beta Version of their drivers available, this Beta Version doesn't crash the game when it's installed. Additionally, I wasn't making use of the MConnect for display, merely had the drivers installed.
I don't assume that you guys have the MConnects as well (though if you do, the fix is easy!) but I'd take a look and see if there's something similar that could be interfering with your display.
Let me know if it helps!!!
thanks for replying to my issue.
I have an Apple Screen which is connected via miniDisplay port to my VGA directly. Can't uninstall any DisplayLink Driver as noone has been installed.
Any further ideas??
Thanks so far.
Hey! I've also been plagued by this issue. The solution provided by @NeuronFire fixed it for me too. I looked through my device manager and couldn't find any DiplayLink driver either. Now, I'm not sure my hardware is connected to such a driver - but - I went to their website and downloaded their latest beta driver (on the top of their download list). Once I had installed it and rebooted the client works! I've run it on hyper for four hours straight without a single crash!
Good luck.
