[Suggestion / Request] Runner Vision toggle

Most of the time I play with the runner vision turned off, though sometimes I would like to be able to quickly toggle it on to check for a different route or suggestion then toggle back off. It has become rather tedious to do it through Menu ->Options->Gampelay->Runner vision, every time I want to turn it on/off.

At first I thought the "Runner's Vision" key bind (default: ALT key) would have this functionality though it seems it is only used have it go online when it gets shut down in the story missions (or is there something I am missing?).

It would be nice, however, if we could actually turn it OFF the same way we turn it ON, by holding the button, or so.

What do you think about it?

Thanks!

I think this is a nice little addition :3
  • Yeah that's what I assumed the title he did. But yeah I have to play with it off most the time too, and do the menu thing
  • As it currently stands, I think the runner vision is rather pointless IMO.

Runner Vision .. RUINS this game. I think the reason why some people arent getting into the game is because they arent experiencing it with it off. On top of that, all of the time trial based missions are balanced with runner vision in mind and are absurdly difficult without it .. which is a terrible design ethic. If you are going to support a feature .. such as Runner Vision-less gameplay .. THEN BLOODY WELL SUPPORT IT!!
  • @Tenka that's just blatantly false.
Sure you can get 0 or 1 stars on them, but 3 stars? Hahaha nope. Even 2 stars is debatable.
And that's only for some dashes n 'time trials'. For rest of dashes (Especially outside of starting zone) and all delivery/diversion/other sorta side missions?

Yeah no. Don't follow the red lines on the ground. They are not good for getting you anything other than failure.

Well, I have had much more success using RV than without it. I dont know how you are supposed to know the route otherwise unless you literally fail it a million times until you know the route off by heart.
  • ...Have you tried turning your brain off and on again?

Have you never memorized a map or area in a game, even by accident or simple passage of time? This game is about parkour. Free running. More than any other game/genre, this game is about learning the area, and finding the best path in the moment.
That means natural memorization, forced memorization, adaptability, and self improvement + self reliance.

Of course, when it comes to leaderboards, that's a different beast in how you think/view/research/approach. But for missions and just running and learning the maps and stuff....take your time. Just move without thought, but observe and remember.

**** I've sunk 20~ hours into it by this point I'd wager and I'm *STILL* finding better paths n optional areas for just navigating the city not even getting into speed runs.

Sorry, I actually meant the Runner Vision Button. If you usually play with it turned off, the button serves no purpose at all, that's why I suggested it to be changed into an actual toggle button.
