Sooo...

So I just bought this game for my PC a couple of days ago, I waited almost a full 24 hours for it to download onto my PC only to realize, that this game lags so badly that I can hardly play it.
I read that people are having trouble with CutScene lag, and I am as well. Except I'm not just having cut scene lag, all of my gameplay is in major lag. I move at half the speed, and during cutscenes, the audio plays through and the video takes forever to catch up.

I really don't understand WHY it's lagging, because I play Dragon Age: Inquisition on this computer and it works just fine, and that game has VERY detailed game play and cutscenes. I just wanted to know if anyone had any tips for me or if you could give me some solutions?
I tried to repair the game from Origin, but it did nothing, and I'm already playing on lowest quality...

Turn everything to low and off in video settings. Turn resolution scale to 50, turn resolution to 800 x 600, turn vsync off... You should probably be good after that!

I have this same exact problem on my pc, and I tried to put my settings at the closest they could go to this, and it did nothing to help my slow motion problem. My pc is made for gaming, and it meets the specs and goes way beyond them, too. Yet when I did as you suggested, I found myself playing Mirror's Edge Catalyst at still half speed, if not slower, and also viewing the crappiest graphics I'd seen on my pc since I played Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness on it. When I played Garry's Mod for the first time, I had a similar problem, but eventually I looked and found a code I could put in the "set launch options" tab that fixed it. Perhaps there's a code I can put in the "command line arguments" tab for Mirror's Edge Catalyst that might fix this?

Actually, I just fixed my slow motion problem! What I did was I kept the settings suggested by Luke Cypert the same, and I added Mirror's Edge Catalyst to my Steam account with the "add a non-steam game to your library" button. (Obviously God heard my prayers.)
