New Patch destroys the game

Game was fine, had no issues with it whatsoever, then I try to play it tonight, and Origin patches it, and the notes say performance improvements, which I didnt really need but ok. Game patches, and now it is totally unplayable. The bizarre sync issues, the flashing, the stutters, the unresponsive menus, the game is totally broken, so thanks EA for taking a good game and trashing it.
