Do enemies respawn in the city? — Mirror's Edge™ Catalyst Forums
Yes, the only enemy you probably won't see is Sentinel (the guy in black lol) cuz he is only spawned during missions, so you can replay them if you want to see him.
Just to add to what others have said, there are security cameras throughout the city. If you don't keep moving and stand in front of one for a few seconds, then it will call in a patrol on you. You then have to keep moving to lose them. If you engage them directly, then they'll also call in a VTOL aircraft which you'll have to get to the nearest safe house usually to totally avoid detection. If you don't and stay within its detection of you, then enemies will keep appearing on the various rooftops near your location.
I don't play GTA, but I hear its a similar style of evasion system to GTA. Either way, it really gives the post-story open world game play an added dimension of danger that mimics the story very well.
In addition, there will be respawning groups of security in various rooftop locations here and there. You can avoid them or engage them. If they spot you, you have time to get away and hide before the VTOL is called in.
I suggest in a later patch that sentinels are also deployed on the rooftops. Now I fight my way through a group of K-sec in a matter of seconds. Maybe even reintroduce the 'police runners' from the first game. They will sure keep you running.
