How long has Faith been in prison?

So 2 years is what most of you will assume, because that's like.. obvious duh. But i read the Exordium comics recently and saw this dialog there. How come it's "a year" in comics and 2 in game? Which is the right one?

I think In the beginning of the game it said she had 9 months extension for several counts of insubordination

(I don't think this counts as spoilers but better to be safe) It's in the first 3 minutes of the game - According to the K-sec officer at the desk in the jail

"has served a twelve month sentence, nine months were added for several incidents of insubordination, deemed for conditional release"

So it's year and nine months
