From what I've experienced with this game so far, it's great! Of course it's not the good old Mirror's edge as we know it, but a new refreshed version with new approaches to different area's. One thing i LOVED in the first ME is when you find out about Project Icarus and the pursuers, trained to hunt down runners like you. I saw these masked foe's and thought "Oh ****, Lets get out of here!" I ran and ran and cast a glimpse over my shoulder only to get terrified by how fast they were moving and their equal skills in free-running. HTat was the most awesome feeling in the world.

Now to the point. The pursuers of catalyst does not feel like that. They don't seem to chase you til the bitter end like they would do in the old one. I want to feel that they are a force to be reckoned with, not just climb higher and then watch them stand there doing absolutely nothing.

Some feedback:
Try to improve AI (Easy for me to say)
Make Pursuers more agile so that they can go after you.
The roll animation you get from pursuers punching you over and over feels repetitive and lame (Sorry) Either remove the animation or make them faster and dynamic.
Enforcers sometimes just stands still and doesn't shoot you for a while which makes it feel like poorly designed AI (Sorry again)

  • Exactly! The AI is way too easy, even the "hardest" Sentinels can easily be defeated by mixing both light and heavy attacks. They don't do any 'hunting' as they are supposed to do.
  • AI does need to be improved, and I think they could do with more classes of enemies to mix and match the encounters better.
