Covert missions unbeatable without being "seen"

So the covert missions are just pathetic since it is impossible to both not be seen and reach the target within the time limit, if a group of guards spawn in your path. Maybe if they would give us more time so it is possible to detour if guards are in the way and also add more of a punishment if you get seen, the covert missions would make sense. Now, to complete a covert mission you have to either just ignore being seen or be extremely lucky with the guard spawns, which I think is silly and not the point of the mission type. Hopefully this gets changed, I dunno, just wanted throw that out there.

    I used the jammer, and I think that's the point of the mission. It has a pretty fair range, so I was able to clear the path.
    Even then, some of those missions can take more than one try to beat, but hey that's the challenge. Also, you can't really expect the game to tell you how you do it. games today are so easy, and you want a patch to make things easier...?

  • I've tried using the jammer and it works fine on the cameras, but if a group of guards are in the way, the jammer won't stop you from being seen. Maybe I'm just using it wrong somehow? Also I don't think my suggestion would make it too easy. I don't mind the challenge, but when you have to rely on pure luck to complete the mission as intended, it's not really the challenging part that makes you have to try again. Maybe if the jammer works on the guards the mission would make more sense.

    it already works on the guards. just make sure you've unlocked everything related to it before taking these missions. they can wait :D
  • I believe it's fine to be 'seen' briefly by guards or cameras, you just have to outrun them. if the eye icon is open for too long, the mission halts and comes up with a failure screen, but afaik as long as you're still able to run you technically haven't failed.

    the mission briefings etc. could definitely be clearer in this regard. characters repeatedly stress 'don't be seen at all' when the real challenge is actually 'don't let them see you for too long'...
  • Yeah, but what's the sense of those stealth missions if you can't think enough for an alternate route on the go. It should be 2 kinds of missions: time run and stealth without time limit.
  • I ran those missions just like any other and never failed from being seen. Even if that meant running straight through a group of K-sec. So the "covert" part of it doesn't really stick.
