~3 Ways you can improve MEC~

Attention Developers,

I have three ways you can improve and update MEC.
1. Honestly, change the global ambient color of the city. -make it more blue or whitish. I want it to feel more like Mirror's Edge. MEC is pretty dull right now and for some reason I'm not feeling the Mirror's Edge vibe. I want to feel the cleanness of the city.
2. Make all areas explorable, the map is super small to me. The distant areas I see from tall buildings are taunting me, and I want to be free and go everywhere in the City Of Glass, The pointy bridge beams, the huge domes, and all those buildings you see in the distance. (Oh, and please make Sky City and KSEC HQ available in free roam.)
3. A DLC containing new missions, or a new mode please. A multiplayer hub or new addons would be nice. Runners want to be with other runners.

There can be more said.

I was looking through "The Art of Mirror's Edge Catalyst" and honestly the first versions of the city and its districts look way better than what they have become. You took a wrong turn.
The E3 2013 trailer felt more like Mirror's Edge than what it is now. But I swear, you can improve the game.

Why did you cut them from the game?

  • Hello,

    Is your screen well calibrated?
The game at night has a very blueish tint while being smoothly orange at day.

Make sure the contrast of the screen are well calibrated, your gamma seems way off from the picture you sent.

    Cya!

I'm sorry but I don't want a tint of "smoothly orange" at day. If it's Mirror's Edge, the sun shining on the surface of anything would make it appear white, and in the shadows there is a very bluish color to the surface. That's what makes Mirror's Edge, well Mirror's Edge. (And yes, my screen is well calibrated) and all the settings in-game stayed the way they are since I first got the game~~~

There is still something ew about your screenshot - it looks washed out, and it's not like that in game for me :)

I would like more details on some buildings though - not sure if these have appeared in the main game but in the beta some buildings looked too plain :)

Taking a screenshot, and remove a huge amount of saturation only to prove that the game doesn't look like the E3 trailer, is not a good solution to be listened by the developers, imho.

You're right in one point. The gray-blueish tone of the E3 trailer was really good and better for me than the actual atmosphere. But with injectors like reshade or whatever, I'm pretty sure that something can be made.

But your attitude is not good.
