I just wanted to thank you for reinforcing why I haven't bought a game upon release in close to 3 years.
I LOVED the original Mirror's Edge. It was the very first game I rented when I got my 360, and I loved it so much that I bought it on PC later. When I saw Catalyst's release coming so soon, I said to myself "Mirror's Edge is such a different type of game. I want to do my part and show my full support for it in hopes that developers see that this is the type of game people want."
However, I've been extremely disappointed with the game--for many of the same reasons that are laid out on this forum, or ample amount of negative reviews out there. Now I see that the game's being offered at 30-40% off less than a month after its release? A triple A title!? Unlucky, and proof to myself that I really shouldn't bother buying titles on their release. It's not my game to hold hostage, but one can't help but to feel butt hurt over paying full retail, then this happens.
I'm at least happy for the people that will buy it on sale since they'll be getting this title is equivalent to: a mediocre indie title. At the same time, I hope you're happy with cutting your losses and trying to salvage what sales you can.

To be honest, I'm always skeptical of someone who claims to "love" the first game, and then wants to dump on this one calling it a mediocre indie title. Hardly a way to support the IP as well. If you like the running of the first game and flow of it, Catalyst gives you all of that you can stand and more. Great game. And the story and characters are just as good as the first game.
