Once I load the game, I can move the mouse, but no button will work. I have tried with getting rid of the overlays with:
the antivirus
turning off Steam
turning off the Origin In Game from both Origin and the game properties
turning off anything I could recognize from a program that wasn't Microsoft or the touchscreen in the background
disabling the touchscreen HID
put in the new patch initfs_Win32
turning off the Realtek audio
bluetooth mouse on, not on
sigh...
...except for the Intel graphics program, which I guess I should leave on.
It did work suddenly for a while after I was trying to recover my HID for the touchscreen. I had used a third party app to update all my drivers, nothing, then I uninstalled my touchscreen HID, and nothing, so I was trying to reinstall that HID, since taking it out it didn't help, but then in that attempt restarting the computer, I tried loading the game again and it worked. Then I reset my computer to factory settings to regain the HID for the touchscreen and the game actually STILL WORKED, with my touchscreen on and all, but then yesterday, BOOM, same issue again and I do not know what happened: what happened that made it work and what happened that it made to stop working again. So I am back to the labyrinth of troubleshooting to figure out what on Earth is creating a conflict for the mouse buttons.
I haven't tried again the third party driver updater (Driver Booster Free) or the CCleaner and I would like to avoid those since it worked without them when I reset my computer.
I would really love to enjoy my favorite game of Mirror's Edge! I have waited so long for this sequel and luckily I was able to play some hours with it, but now I am back to not being able to use it. Does anyone have any other idea that could help?
