This thread is full of awesomeness ! Been playing around with Ansel, I can't get bored. I took 98 screenshots of the Shard mission, I just need to convert them for a friendly web format. Here is a preview of what is coming:
Looks great. I also want to play through the shard mission again. I want to get a screenshot of a 3rd person finishing move on the guys at the top. The protectors or whoever, I assume cause their the last guys you fight you always get a 3rd person takedown?

It's a mission-only thing and it happens after the final person is taken down. Sometimes the one in the Release chapter glitches for me so it plays in first-person, for some reason. These aren't noteworthy at all, but I just wanted to share about a thing that happened recently.
(I managed to take two screenshots which had to be taken in windowed mode, because I have no other way to take screenshots within the game since I’m below minimum requirements in terms of my pc quality, so therefore I am unable to use NVIDIA Ansel.)
I was in Shimmering Heights and it was night time and I wanted to replay the Release mission to make it day time again. (The Time CHanger isn't working right lately, for some reason. I also love that mission.) When it first loaded it I could hear the rain in the background, but before I could do anything, my game force minimized. (I have a virus thing on my computer that occasionally force minimizes games and will open Internet Explorer.) I was able to go back in, but then I realized that I was still in Shimmering Heights. I was also still wearing the old outfit. It also said that I was currently in a mission still, even though I was in the free roam area. (All the free roam activities were cancelled.) This is odd because it’s never done this before, and I didn’t do anything different. I just clicked Replay Mission while in free-roam. (Although, now I'm wondering if this all happened because of the virus thing. I don't really know.) A little while later, I closed the game and reopened it and it started out in the Release mission.
(The pictures didn't do the thing, but whatever. l̶o̶l̶)
So has there been any news on whether or not the console versions of Catalyst may see anything similar to the "photo mode" available on PC? It's actually something that I was hoping for before I actually heard that PC players were able to do this. I didn't see another thread asking about this so I guess I'll just throw the question down in here. Some of these pics are ridiculous though. This game is definitely among one of the most gorgeous that I've ever seen. I figured that maybe PS4 at least might see a photo mode since a lot of other titles have either launched with the feature or added it later. I'd really love it if there were some kind of replay feature as well tbh. That would be sick. That way people could not only make some awesome videos (if they could rip off the camera) but it would go really well with the UGC feature. People could actually share videos of their runs and show how they were actually able to finish certain trials.

It's an nvidia driver feature. Given generation 8 consoles went AMD, I doubt it. They'd have to code the entire system in, rather than let nvidia do all the core work, which is how Ansel functions.

All I can say is that I hope they are at least trying something out. I knew about The Witcher 3. I don't mind not having a photo mode in that game though because it's pretty easy to set up for a good shot, but in Mirrors Edge you're constantly moving so it's like impossible lol Unless you go back to a video you previously saved to your gallery and take a screenshot of the video at a certain part.

also kind of a shame that there isnt any button to take screenshots as such. there are few moments i like to capture but nothing. pressing the print key isnt working and im not very keen in using a software like FRAPS that causes some issues with games as i have experienced with.
If you go into windowed mode, you can take screenshots with the "prt sc sysrq" button and pasting it into Paint and saving it. It worked so far, for me. (At least on windows.) And you're right. I liked having Mirror's Edge on Steam for the SOLE reason of screenshots. (Still mad that the Pure Time Trial DLC isn't available for Steam users, but still.) It should be an option, or there should at least be an easier way.
I made these to show off the mission glitch I had gotten once. I have a post about it near the top of this page actually. Also, the quality seems to get worse a smidge. But that may only a problem on my end.
You guys could use the cinematic tools on cinetools.xyz
They are a lot better in terms of controlling things like the depth of field, colours and stuff. And I'm pretty sure AMD users can use it too.

I tried, and it works great. My laptop doesn't have a numpad though, so I have to use a controller, and besides, it's really hard to use and it makes my game lag like crazy, so for now, I'm out of options. D8

(I also wanted to point out that the third-person screenshot from inside the giant square atop Anansi is my background currently. It's so good!)
It really is. The music, the ambience, the overall feelings...Ahhh!
Can't wait to see what this engine will do for Mass Effect

Maybe one day there won't need to be an external to edit in-game things, but you're welcome nonetheless.
