    Same issue.
I have a i5 3570K, R9 270X 2GB, 8GB RAM and the cutscenes are unwatchable because they freeze/lag and that cuases the audio to go out of sync with the video.
The game in general freezes and lags all over the place. It's running fine 50-60 fps on medium/high settings and then just at complete random spots the fps drops down to 0 for 0.5-1 sec and the game pretty much becomes unplayable.

Ok it's not on my own...

i encounter the same issue, the game is pretty smooth in freerun or in mission and i got some kind of desync audio/video , with a strange, crackly noise during the cinematics.. And you see the lips of the character move not in the same time as audio.

  • i have found what is causing the issue...

Its the V-sync, when you put it off, that cause major desync to audio and video.

For the moment, try to put it on
  • same problem. the patch is urgently necessary!

My V-sync is on, but I still have that massive desync of audio and video. I have a GTX 965m and run the game on medium despite getting well 40+ frames on Ultra. Everything is smooth except for the cutscenes and it really ruins their vibe.

    My Specs: GTX 965m, i5-4210H, 8GB RAM.

  • I have the same problem and im running everything on ultra with V-sync on. My specs:
    i5 4460, GTX 970, 16gb ram
Please fix this ASAP its very, VERY ANNOYING!
  • Same problem here.
    V-sync on
    i5 3470, MSI GTX 970, 8 GB RAM
  • Yeah, the game runs great aside from the cutscene lag. It stutters so bad that any pre-rendered cutscene is literally un-watchable. I'm holding off on a purchase until it's fixed. I can't even enjoy the story!
  • I hope fixing this is DICE's #1 priority. It is a major issue.
  • Same issue here. Will try the vsync solution.
Running a GTX 970 and an Intel i5-4590 together with 16GB of RAM. The game runs of an SSD, so streaming can't be an issue here. Maybe updating the graphics drivers @ launch will help.

Updating my drivers didn't help much. Some google searching showed that this was a problem in the closed beta too. It seems to be an Nvidia specific issue.

Yes it was, but, for me in closed beta, all was fine with the same hardware, but with the graphics restriction due to beta.

one of the graphics settings doing wrong... just need to find it :)

Same here. No problem during beta. This is new for me.
    I would go to a new game to see if that helps, but I don't want to lose my progress ;-;

  • I use the latest 368.22 Geforce driver and now GFE support FPS counter. I noticed beginning of the game it's been locked to 30 fps, after 60 since V-snyc is default, I turned it off, run the game mostly High settings. It runs and feels much smoother then the beta. 60-80 fps usually, some stuttering when loads the map(?)
But on major issues! When we meet with Noah. The fps counter jump to a locked 130 fps which is weird, but the audio out of sync! Crackling and stuttering, same for the video which I almost sure a pre-rendered one.

    My spaces:
    i5 4460 3,2 GHz
    8 GB RAM
GTX 960 2 GB (OC Strix)
    WD Blue HDD
  • Ok I tried starting a new game twice, reinstalled the game and the problem persists. This is really, really frustrating. Especially because this has apparently been a problem since the beta build.
  • I see I'm not the only one. I thought I fixed it somehow in the beta but for the life of me I don't know how.

Ah well. I'm not that impatient that I can't wait for the fix, but nonetheless hopefully it'll be day one.
  • This happens with me on my GTX 960 as well.
  • I'm on a 290 so it's definitely not an NV specific issue.
  • I am having horrible stuttering problems as well. Not just in the cutscenes, but during play too. Turning down all my settings doesn't seem to help even a little.
    i7-6700k gtx 980ti 16GB DDR4
Please come up with a solution!!

Haven't found one yet  I hope a dev comes to the rescue soon.

Hmm. Tried forcing VSync off but apparently that didn't do it.

No that was not this, the issue have come back for me...

    Try again :)

Yeah, you wouldn't think it'd be that easy. I'll have to mess with it in the morning, unless it's something dumb like lowering your quality settings I don't know that there's anything for it but waiting for a patch.

beta auto settings = no issue with the cinematics
so yes, i try to search on the settings that have been add on the early access.,

the thing that boring me, its that we have pay to do those test.

EDIT: just saw a post on reddit, that say that can be cause by the monitor refresh rate, those with some 120Hz / 144Hz and more.

Personnally, i have a 144Hz monitor, so i will to put it at 60Hz to see

My 60hz monitor still has the issue :(

I saw this on one machine once, and the solution was to uninstall all graphics drivers fully with display driver uninstaller and then reinstalling the latest nvidia drivers. Hope it helps.

I have a 60Hz monitor and have it on the 60Hz setting so I'm pretty sure this isn't the problem.

EDIT: Tried with a 48Hz refresh rate in game as well as all graphics settings (including low) and none of them did anything to help it.

EDIT #2: The Devs have seen this thread and are working on a solution to the issue in a future patch.

  • Well for whatever reason, going back from the (fast ring) Windows 10 Insider Preview to the release version of Windows 10 seems to have fixed it. I'll play more soon and see if it happens again.
  • i would have been continue trying to find what is wrong, but my timer has gone..

i will miss that japoneese girl a lot during those 5 long days :)

    have fun guys

I just did a clean re-install of the drivers, still not any better. I hope the "desync" in the cut scenes is the same problem I'm having, but while actually playing. I'd assume they are the same issue. Hopefully the devs figure it out. The 40 secs I did get to play seemed amazing when it wasn't stuttering every 10 seconds.
